Becca’s Diary

It was a pretty difficult decision for me to post this but writing this now, I’m kinda glad I did.

I never painted in my life, besides when I was 7 or so, I attended some chinese painting classes for a year and never did. Now, this is my first ever painting, after 24 years. I always have heard about mouth painting after I had my injury, but that was it.

I was yeah awesome, it’s crazy how people can do it so well or even be able to tell themselves to take a step into this. But again, painting with your mouth, are you crazy? I’m not even gonna go there.

Now, I have my first canvas, with four different paintings, it’s not great at all, but I guess it’s a good start to something. I watched many videos along the way, can’t grasp on to a single basic technique, with my mouth especially, but that’s okay, it’s a start.

To be honest, I’m pretty embarrassed at how it looks. I didn’t even know what I was really going for, but I was like okay, let’s try this, let’s try that, and this came out. I have to put way more hours into doing this but I guess I can say that I have found a little bit more comfort.

Not going to lie, it’s stressful as hell and I get really anxious really fast, the brush starts shaking because my mouth and teeth can’t stop shaking and I have to keep taking breaks. And that really sucks because I know there’s nothing else I can do, but I’m still glad I went with it anyway.
